Andrew Jenkin exhibition now open

Huddersfield Artist Andrew Jenkin, First Solo Exhibition at The Harrison Lord Gallery, Brighouse.

An exciting exhibition of new paintings titled ‘Yorkshire’s Rich Heritage’ by Andrew Jenkin is to now open.

Andrew is a leading light in the Huddersfield Art Society where he won the “Best in Show” award in 2009 and is Head Tutor at the North Light Gallery Art School.

The Harrison Lord Gallery has been showing Andrew’s work for over two years and his paintings have always been snapped up by appreciative collectors encouraging the gallery to commission this new collection of work for Andrew’s first one man show.

Steven Lord, gallery owner says “Andrew’s work shows his ability to combine his love of local history with his outstanding talent as an artist in highly atmospheric watercolours of paintings of Brighouse, Huddersfield and the surrounding areas. I’m sure many people who are familiar with his work will be excited at the prospect of seeing his new exhibition.”

Andrew has been drawing since childhood, and had his first lessons in watercolour painting with well-know artist Vera Waddington, and took evening classes in watercolour painting at the same Art School where he is now Head Tutor.

Another date for your diaries as Andrew will return to the gallery on Saturday 26th June to give a painting demonstration.

The Exhibition is free and will run until Saturday 3rd July, for more details ring the gallery on 10484 722462
