The latest exhibition of paintings by popular local artist Peter Brook opened at the Harrison Lord Gallery on Saturday. Steven Lord , gallery owner said “The exhibition was extremely successful, well beyond our expectations. Two years on from Peter’s passing it shows just how popular Peter’s work still remains. The gallery was packed with his fans all day, the first print being sold at 8.50am! Many reminiscences of Peter were shared as his work brought back “happy memories”
Three rare original paintings were sold on the day along with a large amount of prints, some of them being rare signed ones. “Peter’s work continues to rise in value with recent auction sales showing a good increase on prices achieved over sales earlier in the year. Many people now see his work as a good investment” said Steven.
Peter’s widow Molly Brook opened the show along with her daughter Alison and son in law Martin and local singer Roger Davies whose song about ‘Peter Brook’s Paintings’ continues to be very popular.
The exhibition continues until December 3rd, contact Harrison Lord 01484 722462 for more details.
